I am Erica, 20, hairstylist/cosmetologist, and I have a weakness/love/passion/lust for Peter Cushing (whose mine and all mine and my husband) and dream to live in the days of when Hollywood was glamorous. I love Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, and Norma Shearer and so much more. My blog is filled with things I love-particularly the silents and early talkies, but mostly the silents. Things range from 1920s-1930s and maybe a little bit of randomness here and there. I love listening to music. My favorite type of music is rock, classic rock like the 60's and 70's,psychedelic rock. I love 20's/30's jazz and big band and swing music. My absolute big three are Jelly Roll Morton, Al Jolson, and Glenn Miller. If you would like to talk music or film, please do! I love it. My idol is Joan Crawford. Maybe you'll get to know me….

Peter Cushing, Caves of Steel, someone must have a copy somewhere

There has to be some trace of the complete Caves of Steel, BBC 1964 television Story Parade play somewhere. It can’t just be gone forever! Someone has to have a print of it and if they do, they need to come forward and they, I promise will be famous among us Cushing fans :)

Mr. Oak and Mr. Quill spew toxic gas from their mouths to overpower Maggie.

A creepy-as-hell surviving sequence from the lost 1968 story Fury from the Deep.

What happened to the guy that played Mr. Quill, Bill Burridge? There is nothing about him on the web. Not gonna lie, his face when he screams, creeps me out, but I’d love to know more about this guy.

On January 11th 1971, Peter Cushing started work on Hammer films, ‘Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb’ in the role of Professor Fuchs. Before the end of the day, Cushing would be released from his contract, his wife had t…aken a turn for the worse, a relapse from which she would not recover. Helen Cushing died three days later on the 14th of January. Andrew Keir would called upon with only two days notice to take over the role. According to director Seth Holt. all that remains of Cushing’s one day’s work is a handful of stills, taken on set by the studio photographer. Of the six stills, one that is rarely seen is this one. Even though Cushing was desperate with grief, he would return to work within three months, but the physical effects of Helen’s passing, were all to obvious to see…and the grieving would hang like a shadow, for many years to come.
